Mormons: Is Utah a good place for singles?
I am now a mormon and I was baptized 6 months ago, and I love the mountains. I am thinking about moving to Idaho or Utah and I want to know how is the dating scene there? How are the people? Currently I live on the southeast coast. I am 28.

Mormons, before you answer that Utah is a virtual paradise, remember that the Book of Mormon says The Garden of Eden is in Independence, Missouri.

Utah is where you go for your brain to die… I spent a year in Salt Lake City, one week.

i’m not mormon but i grew up in idaho near the utah border. its probably more prominent than any other religion there so you wont have any trouble finding other mormons or temples. as far as the job market, boise is fastly growing (supposedly the metro area is now around 500,000, when i moved there in 1996 it was 180,000) but other than that there aren’t a whole lot of populated areas in idaho. it has a great downtown area with awesome restaurants and a ski resort 20 minutes away. utah has slc but there are some freaky people there, i guess just like any other big city. it is way bigger than boise, but i’m not sure of the population or anything since i’ve only visited a few times.
edit: if you arent into nature or wilderness or the outdoors, you will not like utah or idaho. utah has a metro train type system, boise has horrible public transportation. boise is hq to many companies, micron, boise cascade (paper), simplot, hewlitt packard, albertsons, etc.

If your not use to Utah culture most Mormons that weren’t raised in Utah think the Utah Mormons are kind of screwy. But you’d have to be a judge for yourself. Safe bet.. Move to Boise.

They have singles wards, and they also have dances, and lots of mormons, so yes.
