Where on the east coast is the best beach town to live for young singles?

I love the beach, but I need a little excitement. I love laying by the beach and going out for a nice, relaxing dinner with friends. I love the seasons and would love to find a place on the east coast to start a slower lifestyle.
Please give me an actual city/town in a state not just a general location.

    Where on the east coast? There are many many beaches along the each coast!

    If you like the seasons, I’d recommend the Jersey shore or Virgina Beach. Jersey shore gets regular snowfall and has distinct seasons. Virginia Beach gets very little (if any) snowfall and the coldest it usually is in the winter is 50’s. Jersey shore isn’t far from NYC either!

    i would say virginia beach as well–it’ll be hopping during spring break but you’ll have it to yourself (mostly) the rest of the year—if you like seasons you’ll especially love virginia beach plus the mountains of virginia are only about 3 hours away too

    –whatever you do stay away from the usual miami/florida beach scene –it gets old quick
