Why a lot of people only listen to “Hit Songs” or Singles from an album?
July 10th, 2009Gabe Question asked:
Actually there are many more nice songs in the album which are not singles, but it is never popular..
Raqhim: No way, the radios play a lot of old singles that are already popular a year ago here. and then it became a hit song here. I don’t hear some heavy stuff on the radio too. And the censorship, “I kissed __ __” OMG…

Because the “hit song” takes up all the attention, is on the radio 24/7, and is supposedly the best so some people won’t even bother with the other songs unless they actually like the band/artist.

because they already know them and aren’t interested in listening to more music. or assume that if they don’t know it then it’s not good.

For the same reason some people eat sausages and some people don’t…they like to.
There is no right and wrong here, just personal preference…there might be a small question of taste, but that’s entirely subjective and a different issue anyway.

well you know singles means that the song that most probably be the main attraction for listeners to hear or become hit from an album…that’s why artist or their recording label just published singles to the radio station so that’s when people heard the song they will attracted in order for them to buy the album…this is more like to promote the album itself…but that doesn’t mean only the singles are attraction for the listeners..some songs in the album can also attract listeners although not published as singles….ex: the song ‘Thank You Very Much’ from Kaiser Chiefs is liked by many but they doesn’t released it as a single…therefore in order to know some nice songs from your favourite artist, then you should buy their album itself…..;P i very like Radiohead’s “The best of” album
