It depends what you’re kind of bar you’re looking for. You really can’t go wrong with almost any bar in Old City or Manayunk and if you’re not having a good time then you just move on to the next one.
Buu is correct. I prefer Olde City to Manayunk, but that’s because I am out of college and like a slightly more sophisticated crowd. Olde City is the perfect spot since there are so many bars. Mad River is a big pick-up scene, Dolce has great martinis and floors that light up, Independence Brew Pub is large and attracts a lot of singles, too. You really can’t go wrong in Olde City. (Of course, you’d better bring lots of money to spend.)
