How many celibate singles do we have here?
September 23rd, 2009Nish asked:
I can honestly and proudly say that I am one, I believe that the body is our temple and that let strange, defiled, people in can contiminate it. It’s not easy, Lord knows it isn’t, but I want to do what’s holy and pleasing. Anyone else out there?

This isn’t something often talked about.
I am also proud to say that I have been sexually abstinent for 3years and 7months. It was a difficult choice to make, but I made it for myself because I want to have a long happy life.
My abstinence will end when I find my partner/life-mate.
Thanks for the question.
Peace!

I am proud to say that I am NOT anything like this…an orgasm passed by is an orgasm that will not come your way again. I wonder what you are saving it for? It isn’t as if it is a treasure that you think it is. Those who are celebate tend to have a superiority complex in my dealings with people..superior to what? The fact that they have trouble finding a date is a problem, not a victory.

Nope! I had my first kiss and first time in the same night! I was celibate until I was 20, then I had sex with another girl. Also, I’m first-hand proof that often celibate people can’t get that close to someone, so it isn’t “just a rumor spread by dirty people!” (Often said by those that can’t get any.)

Nope. Not me. I’m happy sharing my sexuality with love … with my girl.
I don’t feel at all that my body is defiled when making love with her.
Greetings!!!!

I’m reminded of an episode of Dharma and Greg…
“Your body is your temple… but it’s also your dance hall and your bowling alley.”
I am currently celibate. This is not a life-style choice or any religious qualm; I’m just not dating anyone right now and don’t sleep with people I don’t know, like, respect, and trust (you’d think that would be obvious, but a lot of people do engage in casual sex with strangers or near-strangers).
