I’m looking for a good cook book that provides a variety of receipes for singles. I like to cook but want to cook in smaller quantities. Any help would be appreciated.

I have one that I enjoy. It’s called “Healthy Cooking for Two (or just you)” by Frances Price, R.D. I like it not only because the recipes are actually easy and tasty but also because the ingredients list is broken down for 2 servings or 4 servings.

Hey! Believe it or not the Betty Crocker one is terrific. It tells you how to do all the different measurements, and what all the different pans and pots are used for, and best of all it gives you the step by step way to make the recipe. In short it teaches rather than just give you a recipe with pretty pictures.

taste of home has a mag out called cooking for 2 it has 80+ recipes in it every 2 months. know dont forget u can always cook more food other then for urself. just freeze the food and just pop them in the mircowave thats what i would do if i was single. i would take one day out of the week and make food for like a week or two. but thats just me! u can get the mag any where that sells mags.

Most of the recipes in The Best Recipe, published by Cook’s Illustrated are for four people, and they are excellent recipes, so if you wanted to use those recipes and cut them in half you would have a meal plus one leftover meal. Also, Better Homes and Gardens published a cookbook, entitled, Cooking for Two, I believe.
