In Wii tennis, can you play singles instead of doubles?

no i don’t believe so. Not with the game it comes with. One person can play but you play 2 people.

on the tennis only game not the wii sports tenis version

Not possible. The game came out early and Nintendo really wasn’t thinking of adding in Singles and Doubles (like they usually do with games like Mario Tennis). So, the game was only programmed with Doubles, regardless of whether or not you play alone.
It gets annoying if you hate playing with the computer, but that’s really the only way unfortunately.

No. YOu can set both characters on one team to the same player, but Wii Sports Tennis is aleays doubles.
