I think the best tag team would be the Road Warriors, and the Best Wrestler would be Ric Flair back in the 80’s

    Geez, tough question…

Tag team: Road Warriors, because they just had an electric presence in the ring with their entrance and their in-ring skills. If the Legion of Doom in their prime could have met the Dudley Boyz in their prime…

Singles: Ric Flair, because he had it all in his prime: in-ring skills, charisma, mic skills. Had so many classic matches in the 1980s that it could fill ten DVDs. Probably one of the few wrestlers that could wrestle in pretty much any era.

in singles it is kurt angle and the best tag team is of the big show and the great khali.

  17. Keyring Says:

Kurt Angle is by far the greatest wrestler I have ever seen. He has the total package of in-ring skills, mic skills and work ethic. Props should also go to Chris Benoit, HBK, Chris Jericho and Eddy Guerrero (RIP).

My favourite tag team so far has been Edge & Christian, two amazing competitors who had some simply priceless segments.

This questions has been and always will be a matter of opinion. As there is no win-loss records, and pro wrestling is not a true competive sport.
To be able to evaluate the “greatness” of a wrestler, you must look at the following attributes:

    In-ring ability
    Microphone skills
    Crowd working
    Work ethic
    Ability to work with others
    Injury resistance
Appearance (having “the look” is very important)
Marketablility (since the 80’s, this has become important)

Taking these into account, I’d have to say Ric Flair as my answer.

In-ring: Although a “routine” wrestler, his in-ring skills are solid.
    Microphone: has exemplary mic skills
Crowd working: 80% of in-house crowds “whoooo” insanely (as well as with every chop from any wrestler)
Work ethic: in the 80’s Mr. Flair worked 300 days a year
Working with others: although many workers complained about Mr. Flair, in the 90’s and beyond, he has been willing to put many workers over.
Injury resistance: a broken back… need I say more.
Appearance: unique and flamboyant during an era where there were few.
Marketablity: The Four Horsemen were the first supergroup with such market longevity.

    In contrast, Hulk Hogan:

    In-ring ability: virtually non-existant
Microphone skills: Let me tell you something, brother…. brother…. brother
Crowd working: Very, VERY good, if not the best. A true pioneer
Work ethic: 12 PPV matches a year. Try working 12 days a year at your own job…
Ability to work with others: Total creative control is not working with others.
Injury resistance: See work ethic… can’t get hurt if you don’t work.
Appearance: Truly impressive in 1984, commonplace in 1990
Marketablility: The most marketable in wrestling history and the reason he and wrestling exploded.

Applying the same evaluation to tag teams, I come up with Road Warriors, Hart Foundation, Fabulous Freebirds, Hollywood Blondes(Pillman & Austin), Mega-powers(Hogan & Savage), Midnight Express(Eaton & Lane), Anderson & Blanchard, New Age Outlaws, RVD & Sabu, Hall & Nash as the most likely candidates…

I choose The Road Warriors (the ONLY AWA, NWA, and WWF tag champs). Rest in peace Hawk.
