Where is the best place to live in O’ahu for Singles?

I′m moving to O′ahu in a couple of months and want to figure out where the best place to live would be so I can start looking at apartments/condos. I′ll be working at the Navy Base at Pearl Harbor, and don’t want an hour commute, and I′d like to live near some good night life.
