Are Kool-aid singles better for you than the Kool-aid you mix yourself?

I noticed that Kool-aid singles have less calories and sugar per 8oz serving than the kool-aid you add sugar and water to yourself. Does this mean it is better for you? I love kool-aid and am trying to drink it instead of alot of soda, but I have heard that kool-aid can be as bad for you as soda. Is that true and if so would drinking the kool-aid singles be any better? I also like the propel(made by gatorade) that you add to bottled water. I know these are not as good for you as drinking water, but isn′t it better than drinking soda?
