What is a good age range for a singles dating group?

I am starting a singles group for diverse professionals in my area, and I got a request to join from a 45 year old, but I think he’s too old for the group and don’t know if I’m being reasonable or if it is just my own personal standards I’m applying to the whole group. I want this to be a group of peers… educated, culturally diverse, young professionals seeking the same in a partner. I am 25 and I would not date a 45 year old so I feel like accepting a 45 will change the dynamic of the group and scare some younger people away. I am not saying 45 is OLD, just a little outside of the young singles dating range… I’m trying to come up with an age range to use as a standard. I feel like between 25 and 35 is good, maybe 23 and 37 as a max, but I need some input because I am not sure.
